This workshop will take place at the New Mexico Developmental Disabilities
Council located at 625 Silver Avenue Southwest in Albuquerque.

"Parent Burnout: A New Approach Beyond Breaks and Bubble Baths", November
21st, 6-8 pm, is a FREE workshop designed to equip parent-caregivers of
special needs children (and disabled/dependent adults) with the tools they
need to prevent and recover from the dreaded experience of burnout.

If you are not very familiar with me, allow me to introduce myself briefly.

I am a:

*	Parent of six and a grandkid!
*
*
*
*	All my kids are "special" in one way or another
*
*
*
*	I came into the parenting experience through birth, foster,
adoption, divorce/co-parenting,
*	& choice! -19 years and counting . . .
*
*
*
*	I am an RN-BSN with 21 years of education and experience
*
*
*
*	I am a Special Educator
*
*
*
*	I am neurodivergent and identified as "gifted"
*
*
*
*	Through my journey, I have experience working with trauma, mental/
behavioral health,
*	complex health issues, autism, gifted children, multiracial

*

Creating this presentation was essential to me because of my personal and
professional experience. What I have created is a realistic,
evidence-based, user-friendly guide to preventing and recovering from
burnout for parent- caregivers. How I deliver it is with fun, humor,
enthusiasm, built-in breaks, and instant takeaways!

If you are curious about the other things I am up to or would like to
discuss another opportunity such as introducing another relevant topic to
your organization or workplace, please let me know and I will be glad to be
of service. Please reach out anytime!

I also provide consultation services to therapeutic agencies to help them
improve their systems and services to better meet the needs of the children
and families they serve and I am happy to schedule a free consultation.

Please feel free to forward this email and/or flyer to anyone in your
network or organization you think might benefit. I am attempting to arrange
this meeting with a virtual attendance option, details forthcoming so please
save the date, even if you can't attend in person!

Thank you,
