*Come join us on Wednesday, August 12, 2026  at 7:00 P. M. Mountain in our
Zoom room. Jesica Beechum will be our speaker. She is the Affiliate
President in Colorado. She is a mover and shaker and loves moving and
grooving. She is the voice we hear at our National conventions that says
let’s stand and move. Here is her short bio: Jessica Beecham, a
Murfreesboro, Tennessee native, is President of the National Federation of
the Blind of Colorado and a member of the National Federation of the Blind
Board of Directors. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in
Therapeutic Recreation and Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State
University.*

*Jessica began her career as a recreational therapist before moving to
Colorado, where she served as Chapter and Community Development Coordinator
for the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado and founded a company
focused on accessible fitness and nutrition. Today, she manages food
service contracts and youth programs serving blind students.*

*From 2016 to 2023, Jessica served as President of the National Federation
of the Blind Sports and Recreation Division. Outside of work, she enjoys
running, exploring Colorado’s trails with her guide dog, Prada, and
spending time with friends.*
