> I am writing to give you a brief update on Senate action related to the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, S. 3302, which contains provisions of our Pedestrian
Safety Enhancement Act.  Thus far, the Senate's attempt to pass this legislation by Unanimous Consent has been unsuccessful because two Senators have placed
a hold on, or have an objection with, the bill, thereby keeping it from moving forward at this time.  We have learned that these objections are not related
to our provisions.
