Do you use disabled persons' parking permits in the City of Portland?

The City of Portland is looking for input on a plan to make a
distinction between users of wheelchairs and other disabilities in
issuing disabled persons' parking permits. That means there will be
two kinds of permits within the city limits.

This won’t apply to Gresham, Beaverton, etc., it’s just the city
itself that’s planning to do it.

If you’re interested in this, come on down to the Portland office of
the Commission for the Blind at 525 SE 12th Ave on Thursday, August
25 at 1:30pm! The city has been promised actual blind people who
actually live in the city of Portland itself will be there—and
several representatives of the blindness community were previously
invited—but others are welcome to come and hear the city’s proposal
as well.

If the issue interests you, we’ll look forward to seeing you there!
