I know of a blind person who is a speech and hearing specialist. I believe he does assessments and all the other tasks such a specialist performs. His name is Tom Something-or-other; I'll have to go through my email to see if I have his email address. He's a ham operator so you might want to subscribe to the Blind-hams group and inquire there. You could also do a bit of creative Googling and I'd bet you'd find him.

> I was curious if anyone here, who studies speech or hearing, with no useable vision has performed any type of auditory examinations (e.g., using an audiometer...). If so, I was wondering whether you found the instruments for assessment to be blind-friendly. In other words, were you able to use them without sighted assistance and if so, (a) did you have to purchase modified versions and (b) where did you find such modified versions?
