Just got a pyboard, it is a little micro-processor board running an imbedded 
ver of python.  It is accessible and a good platform for learning about 
micros.  Connect it to your PC and it looks like a flash drive.  Use any 
editor to edit a main.py file to create embedded programs.
Also it looks like a com port and just open a terminal to it  to have a 
python prompt.  It has access to things like:
1. GPIO
2. I2C
3. spi
4 CAN
not sure about AD and DA yet.  Cost is around  $45.  All docs are on line 
and accessible.
