[NFB-Science] Looking for an architect who is blind

I am a teacher of students who are blind/visually impaired working with
students from 3-22.  One of my high school students is planning on
attending an accredited college to get a degree in architecture. He is
wondering what accommodations and assistive technology devices will be
needed, as well as any ideas for handling drafting courses, etc. He has had
a very positive experience using OpenScad in Industrial Technology class to
create a 3-D key chain, but he is not certain if that will be accessible
for the demands of a college course.
Any ideas from architects who are blind?
