[NFB-Science] Questions about the Orbit Writer SmartPhone companion

Hi all!
I don't have an orbit, but I have noticed a common problem that seems to be
stuck under the rug. I have typed on my iPhone with a Polaris Braille Sense
and a Focus 14, having owned both devices. I'm a fast braille typer as well
and often times, braille display keyboards can't keep up with the fingers of
fast typers in general. I have had best luck with a Bluetooth qwerty
keyboard for typing since they can keep up with fast fingers a lot better
than braille displays. I don't know of any electronic braille device that
does not have this problem because I've heard the same problem with other
kinds that I don't own as well from my other friends who also use braille
displays. I wish they would improve this problem because most folks don't
like to carry around two typing devices for different uses in less it's
unavoidable.

Hi. If I were you I would save your money. I bought one and I guess I am a
very fast typer of braile, because I had tremendous latency problems and
often it would skip entire words when I was trying to write things in a text
message or in a note.
Hope this helps.
