[NFB-Science] 2026 Science Division Shortened Annual Report

Hello,

Please see attached a shortened version of the science division annual report for 2026 that I forwarded to the NFB president.
I have kept the sections in the document that I believe would interest division members and other individuals.
The included sections are 1-4, 6, and 11.
Below, please see the goals of the division which are in section 4.

1. The purpose of the SEDNFB is to promote education solutions for the blind, share professional successes, and encourage innovative solutions and techniques to succeed in science and engineering as a blind person. The SEDNFB aims to spread the belief that STEM is open to the blind via outreach. Another goal of the division is to answer questions from students and professionals about being blind and in STEM.
2. Look for presenters to give talks on their daily work in science for the upcoming Science Division NABS seminar and Science Division Convention Meeting.
3. Our division will organize a Joint NABS SEDNFB science-oriented Zoom conference in the winter of 2027.
4. Fund-raise part of the 2027 NFB $8,000 STEM scholarship. SEDNFB plans to have all 2027 donations collected by April 1, 2027. The SEDNFB jointly awards this scholarship with the NFBCS division.
5. Assist blind scientists and SEDNFB members in signing up to the email list nfb-science at nfb.org. To do so, go to www.nfbnet.org<http://www.nfbnet.org> and select nfb-science.
6. John Miller is collaborating with other division members in formulating and distributing documents describing useful methods for performing and presenting science. This information is distributed through our STEM related division email list, and is available at our web location "https://tinyurl.com/NFB-Science-Engineering  ".
Section 2 reminds us how to find the audio recording for the NABS Zoom meeting and lists the associated talk titles.
Section 3 lists the talk titles for the July 5 Austin, Texas meeting.
