You are correct on the first link not working. The deal is, and I sent a revision to Ruth, but I think the day she was to receive my correction, BISM had a computer problem. You know ... relying on a bookmarks, on favorites in Internet Explorer, though convenient, it can make a guy a little uncertain of the exact spelling in a web address! In that first set of instructions to listen to, and to even download one of our recordings, I wrote the web address as senior.nfb.org ... and that address was missing the letter s at the end of senior ... because the correct address is seniors.nfb.org And so that was my fault, and I was then, and am now embarrassed. (One good thing came of it...I'll never forget how to spell out the correct address!)

Thanks for being a part of our Division.

Your link worked, but the one I received earlier did not, and I tried it several times. Thanks.

Hi, Dwight

Weird! Meaning, you do have the correct address, I just used it and it went
right to the home page of seniors.nfb.org, and the page for the recordings
was also functioning and the May 1st recording also came up when I hit enter
on it.

Weird! Not sure what was happening for you.

Below is a link to our site: you should be able to just click/enter on it,
and if for some weird reason it does not fire off for you, copy and paste it
into your browser (control-o to enter in a web address) and do it that way.

I listened to the most recent call and I want to listen to the previous one
which took place on May first. Instructions were given to go to
seniors.nfb.org

but when I tried that the page could not be found. Can you help?

Thanks,
Dwight Johnson

In case you wish to hear a recorded version of our conference calls below
are instructions sent to Ruth Sager.

If someone wishes to listen to the recording, there are three options:

#1 visit our Division’s website and go to the page for listening to
recordings of our conference calls. Then it is a matter of choosing which
recording to listen to. all the person does is click on the link of the
recording they want to listen to, and after a few seconds (maybe 10 up to 20
seconds) it will start playing, right there on their computer. This of
course, presupposes the computer has speakers and the volume is up.

Our division’s website is at:

http://senior.nfb.org

#2 If the person wants to download the MP3 file from our website, and
transfer it to another device, you would: Place the cursor on the link to
the recording that you want to capture, press the applications key (the key
immediately to the left of the right control key), which then brings up a
menu of options, arrow down to “Save Target. And press enter. then you must
choose where it is you want the computer to save the file. (this option
takes a person with some computer savvy.)

#3 To listen to it by phone- no computer is involved in this option:

Dial: (712) 432-1202

Then when asked, dial this access code: 759633Pound

Then, the system will give you two options, take the second one, which is to
press the Pound Key, to listen to the most recent recording.

(the first option would allow a person to choose one recording, out of an
entire list, if you know the correct identification code.)
