Good morning everyone: Bernie here. Today is packing day. Running the third load of laundry. Got an assembly line going from the laundry to the suitcases. Want to get everything packed before the kids get home from school today. They only have half a day.

> Good morning seniors - so good to hear from you...I just got back from our state affiliate's state convention (I'm in Kansas) - always fun and full of meaningful ideas and inspirations. Our national rep. was James Brown from Tennessee who gave a wonderful and thoughtful banquet speech. He reminded us, at least those of us who have been federationists for many years and presented to the new-bees, the formative path our organization has taken through the leadership of our amazing founding fathers. Jacobus ten Brook, led us through hardships to establish the groundwork for security and equality. , A renounnedpsychologist developed his theory "Maslow's hierarcy of self actualiZation"...a fancy way of saying that before someone can reach their full potential, there must be food, shelter and money for survival...Mr. Brown also delved, very nicely, into how beliefs, and more to the point, misbeliefs and misperceptions continue to block us, the blind, in reaching our full potential and how we might go about changing these falsehoods. Remember, we ourselves can sometimes buy into negative beliefs about ourselves as well as society as a whole...
> I have also been checking out the crafters division and joined last week. I chuckle a bit at myself as I have never thought about doing any arts and crafts until about 2 years ago...now I'm pretty involved in several areas and loving it more than I ever thought possible. Well, this is likely more than you wanted but hope others will continue to share what's going on in their life, good or of concern and a worry , so we can help each other as possible. Dianne

I well new how to use jafws but also the problems and ongoing expenses. Though Apple products tend to be a bit more expensive initially , it is actually less expensive in the long run. I really contemplated whether I wanted to spend the time, effort and frustration of learning a new system but am glad I did. I'm not particularly techy so learning a new system is not intuitive for me...still learning but have the time since I'm retired. You might want to look into Apple products...one of my younger friends is determined to get me into this decade and says she will help me learn how to use a I - phone...this will be a big jump for me from my comfort zone of using a flip phone. Good luck in deciding what's best for you... I understand how difficult it is to learn some new technology and don't approach it without a lot of pondering knowing what is involved in the changes...I hope each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
