                                The Assistive Technology Advocacy Center of Disability Rights New Jersey is proud to present a 5-part series focusing on older adults.

                                This series of 5 webinars covers a range of needs of older adults, including staying in touch with others and controlling home systems, seeing small print or details with greater ease, reading a variety of materials and content, writing supports, and staying independent and safe in the home. Adam Krass and Brian Friedlander will guide you through a range of low- and high-tech options for helping older adults lead lives that are more connected, independent, easier, and safer.

                                Session 1: Amazon Alexa Skills: Smart 
Speakers for Older Adults


                                 Tuesday, November 24 12PM

                                In this webinar participants will find out 
how they can use Alexa skills to access audiobooks, improve their personal 
security, access music, and podcasts.





                                Session 2: Magnifiers for Older Adults with 
Visual Limitations


                                 Tuesday, December 1st 12 PM

                                This webinar will cover traditional and 
digital magnifiers for enlarging books, newspapers, prescription labels, 
food packaging, or device screens.





                                Session 3: Reading Supports for Older Adults


                                 Wednesday, Jan 6th 12PM

                                This webinar addresses reading supports via 
text to speech tools as well as how they can access audiobooks from their 
library, Audible.com, and from their Kindle library.





                                Session 4: Writing Supports for Older Adults


                                 Wednesday, Feb 3rd 12PM

                                In this webinar participants will learn 
about a wide range of low-tech to high-tech supports for handwriting, 
keyboarding, hands-free writing, spelling, and composing sentences.





                                Session 5: Daily Living Supports for Older 
Adults


                                 Wednesday, March 3rd 12PM

                                In this webinar participants will learn 
about a wide range of gadgets and technologies designed to make everyday 
life easier, including supports for communicating, eating, bathroom safety, 
mobility, cooking, and dressing.
