[NFB-Seniors] Website redesign complete

Greetings to all,

 

This is Brian Mackey, webmaster of the NFB Seniors Division. I want to give
you an important update regarding the redesign of seniors.nfb.org.

 

Since May I have been working on redesigning the website on the Drupal
platform. I want to inform you that redesign is finally complete and I want
to thank you for your patience while I performed the redesign. I want to
thank Ruth Sager, Judy Sanders, and Robert Neuman for their assistance with
this project.

 

A couple of new features on the site:

- online membership form that will send you to a checkout experience to pay
your membership dues upon submission (depending on your payment method
selection in the checkout process you will eventually be sent to PayPal to
pay using a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account)

- online retreat membership form that will send you to a checkout experience
to pay your membership dues upon submission (depending on your payment
method selection in the checkout process you will eventually be sent to
PayPal to pay using a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account)

- online calendar that automatically updates and can be viewed via an iCal
feed

- reformatted pages for a better viewing experience

- and so much more

 

At your convenience, please visit the site on a periodical basis. If you
find something that needs updating, correcting, or added, please let myself,
Judy, and Ruth know off list. To visit the redesigned site, please visit
https://seniors.nfb.org.

 

Please note that sometime later this year or sometime next year, the
national office will be assisting the division with migrating the website to
a new multi-site web platform. This migration will require that the website
get another redesign, which will be performed by a third-party vendor
selected by the national office in partnership with representatives from the
division.
