Hello All,

 

Please join our National Senior Division on January 25 at 4:00pm Eastern
Standard Time for our National Conference Call. The subject of this meeting
will be "Coping with family and friends while coping with blindness". This
meeting will be led by one of our very own, Wayne Marshall. See bio below.

Wayne Marshall's Short Bio

Wayne has been a member of the NFB since 1998, he joined the NFB while a
student at the Colorado Center of the Blind. He served as a Chapter
President, Chapter Organizer, and as an Affiliate Board Member of the
Colorado affiliate. Wayne currently serves as vice president of the Atlanta
Southside Chapter of the Georgia affiliate and also serves as the Membership
Chair for the National Senior Division.

Wayne has a bachelor's Degree in Human Services and Mental Health Counseling
from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and is a graduate of Louisiana
Technical University where he earned his Master's certification as a
Rehabilitation Teacher of the Blind(RTB).

Wayne also holds a National Orientation and Mobility Certification (NOMC)
and a National Certification for Rehabilitation Teacher of the Blind
(NcRTB)from the National Blindness Professional Certification Board (NBPCB).

 

Wayne was employed at the Colorado Center of the Blind for twelve years as
the "Student and Senior Services Specialist" from December of 2006 until
October of 2018.

 

Currently, Wayne is the Owner and Operator of (I.T.S.)Independence Training
Services LLC, which is a company that provides Independence and blindness
skills training services to blind and low vision individuals, and has been
located in Georgia since 2018. 

Last but not least, Wayne is married and is the proud parent of two children
who both currently serve in the United States Navy.
