The following announcement comes from Judy Sanders, president of the NFB of
Minnesota Seniors Division:

It is with great sadness that I tell you of the passing of Bonnie Hermann,
of Delavan, Minnesota, one of our most enthusiastic members of our Senior
Division.

Bonnie believed in the National Federation of the Blind because she
understood that with the proper information she and others could continue to
live full, productive lives. So that she might share what she had learned
she formed a support group for any blind seniors where everyone could share
their experiences relating to their blindness and where she promoted
relevant activities about the NFB. In her mid nineties her energy was
boundless.

Bonnie attended a couple of NFB state conventions and spoke at our senior
meetings. She always emphasized how important it was for us to stick
together and encourage each other.

She attended two of the NFB Senior Division's virtual retreats where
everyone spent one very full week on Zoom taking classes about cane travel,
home management, assistive technology and other alternatives to using one's
vision. These retreats are captured on a thumb drive and Bonnie listened to
each one several times.

When it is available we will send out her obituary.

Bonnie will be remembered for a very long time.

Corbb O'Connor (he/him), President

National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota
