It would seem to me that Audible might not be that important.  They 
may not have money to subscribe.  Talk to public library, library for 
the blind, or do research via internet to see what people of that age 
are reading -- and see if you can get that.  I would also show how 
they are accessible MP3 players -- with some music, and also consider 
bookshare.org
