[nfb-talk] Dining in the dark

Ray:

I thought that's what we *are* doing. As Joseph says, I simply contend that
"dining in the dark" events cannot be made to do what NFB proponents would
want them to. Why do something that fundamentally won't work? I don't get
what's so fascinating about these events anyway. But the fact that some of
them denigrate them doesn't mean we aren't proactive.

Mike

Yep. Frankly, I get more than a little weir e of our always reacting to
what others do then complaining that the sighted don't understand us. High
time we got more pro-active don't you think? Happy easter.

Each of us is called to participate in this, so why not turn an otherwise
potentially harmful thing like Dining in the Dark to a potential bridge in
understanding for the sighted world? I can think of no good reason.
