I didn't see the original question, but I am reasonably happy with my HTC
SNAP through Sprint, but I had to buy Mobile Speak for it.  I'm not saying
this is 
better than an I Phone, but there are options if you are, for example, on
Sprint and can't use the I Phone.  There are other Windows Mobile phones as
well, 
but all require the purchase of a screen reader for the phone which is
already included with the I Phone.  Of course, there are some Symbian phones
as well 
that can be made to talk with Mobile Speak or TALKS.  Sorry if this was
irrelevant, but wanted to be sure there was at least one response other than
I 
phone.  That's not to say I won't switch to the I phone when I can.  <smile>
