You know Sheila, from the nagdu list we are all kinds! And, without putting
a fine point on it and picking apart our philosophy, us blind folks just
want to see one another functioning at our best and have the public
accknoledge it as well! I don't want to be a superperson or some incredible
freak of nature! I just want to be me! And as long as I'm doing the bast
at what I can, that's good enough for me! But, sometimes not the rest of
the populace! Canes, dogs, both or niether doesn't matter! What does is
that we function to the best of our abilities! And, if we choose a dog or
cane to help us, alll the better! If we don't need those things and can
still function well, all the better! I only have issues with folks who
won't try a cane or a dog out of sheer stuborness and don't have the skills
to do without!
