First of all, it's the Affordible Care Act, not Obamacare. Secondly, the 
basic idea behind the ACA is probably the most market-driven, least 
intrusive plan that would come any where near solving the problem. The 
idea is that the government should set up a level playing surface on 
which health care providers can compete for customers. If you've got a 
better idea that that, lets here it. The Republican plan is to scrap the 
whole thing. That's like junking a car the first time the  mechanic says 
it needs some repairs. Great! Now we've got no car at all.
