[nfb-talk] Where the Senate Health Care Bill Fails

How about something like the health program in Canada. I hope to retire at 62-65, but with these conditions, I wonder if I will ever be able!
I have multiple conditions and this is no way for our country to treat its people.
I have already earned my 30 years with the Federal Government. There is no reason I should have to worry about how I am going to survive and stay healthy, the rest of my life. I can not believe this Man is in office!

Yeah, it would be fair to describe Senator Johnson as incredibly wealthy. Senator Johnson specifically mentioned that he'd like to get rid of the rule requiring health care providers to accept customers with pre-existing conditions. What does he expect those people to do, die?
One way or another, we have to pay for their health care. It's only a matter of what pocket the money comes out of. Doing away with the pre-existing condition rule is both worthless and cruel. It's only going to make a lot of people's lives miserable while saving us nothing. IMO, this issue presents a challenge for the Trump supporters on this list.
Are they willing to admit that Republican health care policies run contrary to what is best for blind people?

To return all of this to the private sector and to allow people to buy what they need and can't afford would mean that most of us could buy nothing and would never be permitted to see a doctor again! What we need is Medicare for all!

It would be bad for blind people in general if those things were to be done away with, right? Essentially, Senator Johnson is objecting to the bill because it still does too much. There certainly is a chance that the bill will be modified before it passes but there is, in fact, a good chance it will be made worse! Anyone who thinks the Republican majority in the Senate won't be willing to make the changes Senator Johnson demands is fooling themselves.
