I think what you did was great. It's probably about the best we can do 
at this point. Maybe writing to the Vice President is a little less 
valuable strategically than writing to your own Senators but it can't 
hurt, especially if your Senators are already down on one side or the 
other.

Here in Wisconsin, we have one of the most liberal Senators iin 
Washington, Tammy Baldwin, and one of the most conservative, Ron 
Johnson. I wrote Ron Johnson a letter, on paper I mean, under the 
assumption that actual letters, signed by a human being still mean more 
than emails. I doubt it will matter though.
