I use the Dexcom G7 myself, although I do take insulin nowadays.
As to current talking glucometers, there isn’t one that voices nearly as much as the Prodigy Voice does. However, I do have one called Embrace, which does speak the readings, but you can’t have it speak past readings. A real shame, that.

It requires much more blood than newer glucometers. There are some on the market that use Bluetooth and pair with your phone so you can have VO or Talkback read the results. Other than a CGM paired with your phone, there's no talking glucometer that I know of. If someone knows of one I'd love to try it.

I was lucky enough to have a doctor go to bat for me, so my insurance covers the Libre 3 Plus. It is a time saver for me, but more importantly, I get constant feedback about how foods impact my blood sugar. Every diabetic is different and not everyone reacts the same way to carbohydrates and sugary foods.

I would love to learn how to use one of these continuous glucose monitors, but because I don’t take insulin, insurance said “no.” I was in the hospital recently, (for something not related to my diabetes), but the nurses tested my blood sugar 4 times a day and never seemed to have a problem getting enough blood. That leads me to believe that either I’m doing something wrong or my meter is just not very good. I will thank you in advance for any assistance with this matter. Thank you all.
