Our 2016 Annual convention is now only 1 month away! The block of rooms for
the Provo Marriott will close on April 14 and you will lose your
opportunity to get the $69 per night rate. Please do not delay and reserve
your hotel room and also don’t forget to register for the convention by

Some exciting agenda items are also provided below by our Convention
Chairperson, Deja Powell. The convention is the highlight of our year and I

What:              This year’s agenda is jam-packed

with tradition, information, and fun! The 2016 convention will include:

¨     Information and demonstrations of accessible technology.

¨     Report from NFB National Representative Amy Buresh.

¨     A jam-packed parents of blind children seminar, which includes
information from Carlton Walker-Cook, a national leader in the education of
blind children, and parent of a blind child.

¨     The new and latest technology for blind and low vision persons.

¨     Meeting for blind and visually impaired college students.

¨     *NEW!* An NFBU Kid’s Club and Youth Track for ALL children which will
include fun and interactive activities—including child care during the
parent session.

¨     Fun-filled activities like a live auction, descriptive fashion show,
salsa night, and ice cream social.

¨     Speakers for the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR), State
Library Services for the Blind, and Division of Services for the Blind and
Visually Impaired (DSBVI).

¨     A vendor fair with over a dozen products and services for blind and
visually impaired people.

¨     Information on accessible smart phones including the iPhone and
Android.

¨     Presentation of scholarships for blind students.

¨     A closing banquet.

¨     GREAT door prizes throughout the convention!
