Where? Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind, Salt Lake campus
(1655 East 3300 South Salt Lake City, UT 84106)

Consider enrolling your child in to the 2018 NFB of Utah Braille Enrichment
for literacy and Learning (BELL) Academy

At the BELL academy we work with students to improve their Braille reading
and writing fluency.
Through the use of learning shades, we show students how to complete
various activities in the kitchen.
Students will practice using their canes to complete mobility activities,
and will attend two different exploratory field trips.
Students will be recognized for their daily accomplishments.

The two weeks will culminate with an ice cream social where students will
demonstrate their improvements, as well as new skills that they have
learned.

Students will be placed into small groups led by blind mentors who will
assist them through each activity.
