Greetings,

It is hard to believe is almost March which means our state convention is
just around the corner. Who is door price chair, I am reaching out to each
and everyone of you to help make this the most exciting door prize packed
convention yet.

Door prizes are often sponsored by businesses in our area locally, such as
gift certificates, logo items, or other specialty items a shop may sell
that will help generate awareness about their business. It may also be
something that you have found to be helpful such as the newest slate and
stylus or your favorite card game. All items should be new. Consumables
also make excellent door prizes.

I am often Asked if there is a specific limit of the value of a door prize
in the answer is yes. We can certainly group things which have a smaller
value together but the door prize committee reserves the right to do so. I
may also find an item of extreme interest or high value which we choose the
time and place for the particular item. For example last year, the Victor
Reader Stream was given as the final door prize at the banquet.

As you or members of your chapters, begin to collect items, please contact
me with what you have in a description via email. We work hard to have an
idea of how many door prizes we will have ahead of time so we can pace
accordingly. Items can be given to me before the convention, but it is not
a requirement.

Chapters or members, who wish to provide cash as door prizes should either
bring the cash directly to the convention or contact me before hand so we
can work out something a week or so in advance.

Please contact me with any additional questions via email or cell phone
number provided in the signature.

Respectfully submitted,
Jennifer Kennedy and the Door Prize Committee
