Reminder to join us at the February’s Meeting of the Salt Lake Chapter of the National Federation of the  Blind of Utah

 

 When: Saturday February 22, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

 Location: DSBVI/Blind Center

This month we will be having elections for all the chapter Officers and one board Member (See agenda item below).  This will be a good time for you to come out and exercise your rights to vote.  To vote, you need to be at the chapter meeting and have paid the annual $2 membership dues to vote.  IF you attended last year’s Christmas party event, part of the cost of the event went to your chapter membership dues for 2020.

*	Introductions and welcoming new members.
*	The presidential release – by National President, Mark Riccobono
*	Chapter Elections – Positions  up for elections are: President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Treasure, and Third Board Member.
*	Affiliate report – by  NFBU State President, Everette Bacon
*	Chapter report and business – by Ken Duke
*	Washington Seminar report – Several members who attended will talk about their experiences.
*	State Convention auction and door prize items needed – See attached donation letter.
*	Adjourn.

February 22 – Salt Lake Chapter meeting between 11:00 and 1:00 PM.  Board member elections.

March 26-28 -  Utah State Convention.

April 25 - Salt Lake Chapter meeting between 11:00 and 1:00 PM. 

May 23 - Salt Lake Chapter meeting in the Park between 11:00 and 1:00 PM. 

June 27 - Salt Lake Chapter meeting between 11:00 and 1:00 PM. 

July 14-19 – National Convention in Houston Texas.

August 22 - Salt Lake Chapter annual BBQ.  Location/Time TBD.

September 26 - Salt Lake Chapter meeting between 11:00 and 1:00 PM. 

October 24 – Meet the Blind Month event.

November 21 - Salt Lake Chapter meeting between 11:00 and 1:00 PM. 

December 12 – Annual Christmas party.
