Hi Nathan,

The best place to start is with the WordPress online manual.  It
describes how WordPress works and how to use it for your web site. Here
is a link to the "Getting Started" portion of the guide with many links
to other useful portions of the documentation:

The online documentation can answer most of your questions, like how
WordPress can be installed, how you set up a theme for your user
interface, how you customize it, etc.  

If you have a particular question for which you cannot find the answer,
please ask the list and include as much information and details about
your situation as you can.
