Mike,

I gave Drupal 7 a shot when it first came out and ran into the same
problem -- a missing php component. So decided to stick with what I have
-- latest 6.2x -- to get work done instead of playing around, thinking I
could come back to play later... Haven't got there yet, so does that
mean it's not later? /grin/
You mention dealing with missing php components with a .ini file? I seem
to need the GD image library component and cannot for the life of me
figure out how to work around that need... Which could easily just be
me.

Do you know of a way I could make images work for me?

Please do keep us all informed about what you find out about using
Drupal 7, since I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know.
Er.. Unless there's somebody who has already replied that does know. Or
you've created a sandbox we can play in. Cool! . /smile/
