[Nfb-web] Problem and Change

Hi:

I am sorry to have to tell you that nfbnet.org was struck by a new 
root exploit last night.  It was initially unknown to the cPanel 
folks, but they know more now and do have a fix.  It was removed, and 
things look fine so far.  However, there could be problems, or if it 
has an undiscovered way back in, it could happen again.  I have 
changed the "root" password.  It would probably be a good idea for 
each of you that is webmaster for a site on nfbnet.org to change your 
password too.

I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

I put up our first BBS, in 1991 22 years ago and this is the first 
time we have had a problem like this.  Nothing is forever, I guess.
