Hi all,
Let me introduce myself first and then, I have some basic questions.
I am Pradip Chandra Sikdar from India. I am mainly a musician and sound
engineer. I am not a so called web designer. But I am a intermediate
computer user. I know HTML and very basic of JAVA script. I made my
first website mainly based on HTML template and with the help of "AccDC
- Accelerated Dynamic Content" module. It went well. Though, the website
isn't live any more.
Now, I am creating a website called www.pradipsikdar.com based on
WordPress. I found WordPress pretty interesting. My website is up. But I
have not field it with proper content. Just doing some experiment as of
now. I have some basic question for you:
1. Do you have any experience with JetPack plug-in? I have Akismat
installed. I got the suggestion to install JetPack plug-in along with
Akismat for better security. I did that. But it broke my contact form.
Now, I deactivated it and my Contact form is live again.
2. Can you recommend any accessible Photo Gallery plug-in? I have
installed "FooGallery" along with "FooBox" and they are working. I don't
know how it  looks like visually. But the thing is, I got and extra
letter "F" in the end of my site. That means, if you open my website and
press Control+End, you will find the letter "F". It might be the cause
of wrong coding in FooGallery or FooBox plug-in. But I am not sure.
3. Can you recommend me one or two good theme? I am now using the
default 2017 theme. But I want my website to look visually appealing as
well.
4. Last, but not the least, can you name some essential plug-in which I
may consider to install? I know, it depends on everyone's needs. But
still, I want to know what kind of plug-in you have installed or
recommend others to install in their website.
Sorry for a bunch of questions and my poor English.
Any help will be gladly appreciated.
Pradip
