[NFB-Web] Question - non-NFB website migration to Drupal

Mike,

Thanks for your recommendation. I was trying to find a streamlined approached since some of the members of the Middle Atlantic Blind Golf Association are not very tech savvy. If you have any suggestions for making the checkout process as short and streamlined as possible, including auto populating the contact information collected from the webform, that would be greatly appreciated. These were the reasons I was hoping to use civi instead. I am familiar with ubercart since I have it on a couple of the NFB sites I maintain using Drupal that haven’t been migrated to the new platform yet. I haven’t looked yet if ubercart is available and stable for Drupal 8, but I am going to assume that it is at this point.

Brian,

I think someone else has mentioned that they have used Ubercart and it's many add-on modules. I would second Ubercart as a good shopping cart system. The NFB of Nebraska went as far as to use it to do State Convention registration for many years. A simple paypal form works great for donations, CiviCRM is certainly overkill. Ubercart is somewhere in the middle and is pretty flexible.

Greetings to all,

I am in the process of migrating a non NFB website from WordPress to Drupal. I will be starting it on Drupal 8 and going from there. One of my requirements is the ability to connect webforms to payment processors such as PayPal and Venmo. The organization that I am working with is a blind golf organization located in the Philadelphia and surrounding southern New Jersey area known as the Middle Atlantic Blind Golf Association.

Do any of you recommend any Drupal 8 module in particular or should I go straight to using civicrm and set it up to connect to PayPal and Venmo? If the civicrm route, would any of you be willing to assist me in the installation and setup process since I have never done it before? It will be on a purely volunteer basis and I need to complete the migration by the end of February.

If I had to for initial roll out of the new version of the site, use a Drupal webform with a PayPal payment button link in the form’s confirmation page until the new webform process is in place.

Please let me know off list at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.
