OK! I know that you said you don't want anything web based, but, you also mentioned that it's because of the ads. Well, our use an app, and on occasion a website called you version. In the app, there are absolutely no advertisements. None! Except for their products. On the website, I might see one or two. But they are really unobtrusive, and you barely notice them. I almost want to say that there aren't any on the website at all, but I don't want to go that far. :-) If you have an iPhone or an android, the app is available on both platforms. Here is hoping that you try it out, and that you like it. :-)

I am in the market for new bible software. I was previously using E-Sword,
but as I updated both the software and my Jaws it became not accessible. I
was curious if anyone on this list would have a recommendation for something
that is not web based. Meaning Bible gateway with all the adds.
