Join the Financial Inclusion Working Group of Atlanta for the opportunity
to be part of an event dedicated to improving the financial lives of
individuals and families across the spectrum of disability.
Our FREE training, Building a Better Financial Future, will provide
financial education tools and strategies to meet the needs of the
disability community.

Attendees will receive an overview of the updated FDIC Money Smart
Financial Education Program for adults, young people, and adolescents which
also includes easy navigation for those with disabilities. Elaine Hunter,
Community Affairs Specialist for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
(FDIC), will present this user friendly, financial education program
focused on credit, budgeting, scams, setting goals, credit scores, and
on-line access to financial information. Participants will have the
opportunity to learn training techniques, observe interactive training
activities and engage in mock presentations.

If you are currently an executive, employee, professional,
advocate, parent, or caretaker within the disability community in the
greater Atlanta region, we highly encourage you and your staff/colleagues
to participate in this training. This is a great opportunity to
gain information and enhance your skills to make an impact on the financial
well-being of individuals you work with as you embrace and promote
inclusion of people with disabilities in the economic mainstream.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
