Hello,
I am pleased to invite you to participate in a research study being
conducted at Emory University. This study focuses on understanding how
effective and accessible different encodings of data (visual, tangible, or
tabular) are.
CURRENT STUDY DETAILS:
- The study will last approximately 1.5-2 hours
- The study can be completed either at the Georgia Library Services for
the Blind and Print Disabled on the second floor or at the Math and Science
Center. The study consists in interacting with data encodings in visual,
tangible, and tabular formats and answering a series of questions about the
data.
- We will compensate you $12 per hour in cash for your time.
- If you agree to participate in this study, we will provide you with
more detailed information and schedule an appointment.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
