>   I’m happy to report that SB 1198, the Blind Parents right to parent bill that we’ve been working so hard on has passed the Arizona Senate and made its way to the Arizona house of Representatives! We are one step closer to getting this bill to the governor’s desk and making it a law. As a reminder, this bill prohibits the restriction of custody, adoption, guardianship and fostering of a child based solely on an individual's blindness. At the end of January, NFBA members packed senate hearing room 2  and many of us spoke, which resulted in unanimous passage by the Health and Human Services committee. On Tuesday, 03/06/18, it’s time to pack the room again!
