Hello everyone,

The Arizona affiliate of the National Federation of the Blind is proud to host a presentation by Peggy Chong, also known as the Blind History Lady. Peggy Chong is the author of more than a dozen books about "Blind Ancestors" who have made a difference. Each book highlights their struggles and triumphs as blind people and highlights the normality of their lives and how each person was an integral part of his/her community as a normal citizen. She says: "Blind people historically held regular jobs and pursued professions that are the same as professions occupied by people without disabilities."

In 2016, Peggy launched "The Blind History Lady" project. Her work is published regularly in the Braille Monitor.

Peggy's presentation will focus on blind people from the past in Arizona, what they did and where they went.

When: Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM via zoom
