East Valley Chapter Board Meting
Minutes January 15, 2024

President Feliz called the meeting to order at 6:03PM The chapter will 
be having the elections for officers and the nominating committee will 
be meeting this Wednesday, January 17, 2024. President Feliz will bring 
note cards in case there is a tie. The elections might be done either 
at the end of the meeting or at the start of the meeting.

Amy Porterfield may come to the meeting so the chapter can write 
letters to the local representatives regarding the issues that will be 
discussed at the Phoenix Seminar. The letter writing may take an hour 
to complete. If you can bring either a laptop or phone to help with the 
letter writing campaign.

President Feliz will give a summery of the Presidential Release. The 
East Valley Chapter fundraiser was mentioned and it's gone live! You 
can either go online or there will be a paper ticket we can hand out to 
friends and family members. The paper tickets will have a QR code and 
this will take them to the website so they can purchase a virtual ticket.
 The tickets are 3 for $25.00 or $10.00 per ticket.

The Braille Readers are Leaders program was mentioned and Somaya will 
give a report. . Joe was thinking the elections should be the first 
thing after the minutes and Treasurer's report and the letter writing 
campaign be at the end of the meeting.

Joe will be bringing the coffee and he will also try and bring cups 
with lids. Tina and Tony will bring the Splenda. Somaya reminded us to 
pay dues before the election if you have not paid. The meeting was
