your college experience richer and will look great on your
resume...look into this opportunity and let's get some blind youth up

Dear RCB,

I would appreciate your assistance and support in recruiting and
nominating your students to be a delegate for the 19th Annual Youth
Leadership Forum (YLF) for students with disabilities.

The YLF is an exciting, fully inclusive, no cost program that is held
at California State University Sacramento. This opportunity is open to
California high school juniors and seniors with disabilities. The
week long program will focus on leadership development, education and
career planning, disability culture and independent living.

Students are given the opportunity to experience what alumni describe
as a “life changing” experience. They are able to interact with peers
and leaders in the disability community as well as legislators at the
State Capitol.

Attached are flyers with information for you to distribute to your
students so they can apply. The application deadline is March 3,
2010. Please contact Lana Reynolds at lreynold at dor.ca.gov
lreynold at dor.ca.gov or Dani Anderson at danderso at dor.ca.gov with any
questions you or your students may have about this exciting event.

Sincerely,

Michelle Alford-Williams
