Unofficial Press Release (meaning it is offered sans opinion regarding
Dodger management, pro or con, and strictly for informational purposes -
or in
other words, I don't mind starting a war, but I don't want to take part
in
this one; nevertheless, it is useful information).

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Beginning with the Dodgers pre-game series April 1
and through the regular 2010 baseball season, Metro will offer Dodger
Stadium
Express bus service from Union Station.
The Dodger Stadium Express bus service will be offered starting 90
minutes
before the beginning of games and for 45 minutes after the end of a game.
Service will be provided every 10 minutes prior to the start of the game
and
run approximately every 30 minutes throughout the game.
The Dodger Express bus will pick up fans at the Patsaouras Bus Plaza
adjacent to the east portal of Union Station, and continue to the stadium
via
Sunset Boulevard and Cesar Chavez Avenue. Passengers will be dropped off
and
picked up in the Dodgers parking lot behind left/center field.
Dodgers admission ticket will serve as payment to ride the clean-burning
compressed natural gas buses. Those without a ticket will pay regular
one-way
fare of $1.25.
Metro is using a $300,000 grant from the Mobile Source Air Pollution
Reduction Review Committee to provide clean fuel transit service to link
Union
Station to Dodger Stadium. The committee awards funding within the South
Coast Air Basin from a portion of the vehicle registration fee set aside
for
projects that reduce emissions.
