Dear Colleagues,

 

We are pleased to share the news that the Governor today announced three new
appointments and three re-appointments to the State Rehabilitation Council
(SRC). The SRC is an essential partner in accomplishing the Department of
Rehabilitation's (DOR) mission of providing services and advocacy resulting
in employment, independent living and equality for individuals with
disabilities. The following information is taken from the Governor's press

Please join me in welcoming the following new SRC members:

 

Danielle Anderson (consumer representative) - Anderson has been a staff
services analyst for the California Department of Health Care Services since
2012. She was a management services technician for the California Department
of Rehabilitation from 2008 to 2012 and a project assistant at the
California Health Incentives Improvement Project from 2007 to 2008. She was
also appointed as a student commissioner to the California Advisory
Committee on Special Education. 


Deanna Graziano (disability advocacy group representative) - Graziano has
been program manager for Transitions-Mental Health Association since 2006.
She served in various positions at the Court Appointed Special Advocates of
Santa Barbara County from 2005 to 2006, including grants manager and
executive assistant. Graziano was a clinic manager at Santa Barbara
Neighborhood Clinics from 2000 to 2005, a program coordinator at the Mental
Health Association of Orange County from 1995 to 2000 and a mental health
counselor at Olive Vista Center for Problems of Living from 1994 to 1995.  

 

Elsa Quezada (State Independent Living Council representative) - Quezada has
served in various positions at the Central Coast Center for Independent
Living since 1988, including executive director. She served in various
positions at Community Rehabilitation Services from 1983 to 1988, including
executive director. Quezada was appointed to the California State
Independent Living Council in 2010, where she served as chair.  

 

We would also like to acknowledge the reappointment of these continuing
members:

Anthony Sauer (DOR Director) - Sauer has been director at the California
Department of Rehabilitation since 2007.  He was executive director at
Nevada-Sierra Regional In-Home Supportive Services from 2003 to 2007 and was
deputy director of external affairs at the California Department of
Rehabilitation from 2001 to 2003.  Sauer was executive director at FREED
Center for Independent Living from 1990 to 2001 and was a self-employed
cabinet maker from 1979 to 1992.  He is a member of the Council of State
Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation and of the California State
Independent Living Council.  Sauer earned a Master of Arts degree in
management and disability services from the University of San Francisco.

 

LeNae Liebetrau (qualified rehabilitation counselor representative) -
Liebetrau has been a senior vocational rehabilitation counselor at the
California Department of Rehabilitation since 2005 and served in the same
position from 2001 to 2003. She was a field case manager at Intracorp from
2003 to 2005, a client assistance program advocate at the Fresno Center for
Independent Living from 1999 to 2000 and a project manager at Pima
Prevention Partnership from 1998 to 1999.  


Andrew Mudryk (Client Assistance Program representative) - Mudryk has served
in multiple positions at Disability Rights California since 2006, including
deputy director. He was the director of litigation and advocacy at the
Arizona Center for Disability Law from 2003 to 2006. Mudryk was owner of the
Law Offices of Andrew M. Mudryk from 1998 to 2002. He was an executive legal
editor and program attorney at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education
at the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1998. Mudryk was a senior
associate attorney at Ravid and Associates from 1991 to 1995 and an attorney
at Winshall Radner and Curhan from 1990 to 1991. Mudryk earned a Juris
Doctorate degree from George Washington University Law School. 

 

Milton Wright (business representative) - Wright has been president of Milt
Wright and Associates Inc. since 1983. He was executive director at
Assisting the Disabled with Employment Placement and Training from 1976 to
1983 and a rehabilitation counselor at Golden State Mental Health Centers
from 1974 to 1976. Wright is a business advisory board member for Build
WorkSource Center. He earned a Master of Education degree from California
State University, Northridge.
