[Nfbc-info] AT&T Website

This is not true that there is a fee when paying a bill over the phone. I
did it in January and there was no fee. I was up against the due date and
paying it through my online bank service would of made the bill late. I
just wanted to set the facts straight.

Tim,
I believe I do remember being told that one must pay a fee if one wishes to
pay over the phone with AT&T. I haven't had their service in four years or
so. I'm mentioning this so that you don't start to feel that you're the only
one who has ever been told this by AT&T. If I'm remember correctly, I used
to pay the bill over the phone despite this fact, and the amount of this fee
was withdrawn from my bank account along with the regular amount owed.
Paying through the internet was not an option at the time, and all I wanted
was to pay my bill so that I wouldn't run into any trouble with the company.
It worked out for me, but I can see why you'd want to pay online. I would
want to pay via internet as well if I were a customer today because of the
fee associated with paying the bill over the phone.
Miguel

Tim,
I always pay over the phone (because it's free and easy) so have
never tried to do it online. Will check it out sometime, sorry
you're dealing with that issue.

I have AT & T, but I pay my bills through my online banking site
and don't
have an issue because it is accessible. The other alternative
that I have
used with AT & T when I am real close or on the due date is to
pay by phone,
which there is no fee for.

Is anyone else on this list having trouble paying their AT&T
wireless bill
through its website? I've noticed that JAWS cannot seem to
activate the
graphic link that allows the user to submit a payment. AT&T
apparently
redesigned its website in the last few months. It certainly
could be user
error, but I've tried a number of techniques with the virtual
cursor, JAWS
cursor and simulated mouse clicks without any success. It
reminds me of the
checkout button that was used in the Target.com website several
years ago.
Am I the only one having this problem?
Regards,
Tim
