Greetings East Bay Chapter,

Happy 2nd Birthday East Bay Chapter!

Tomorrow is the first Thursday of May and our little chapter is two
years old and continues to grow!

We will have our regularly scheduled meeting tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
in the little conference room at Starbucks across from the Union City
BART station at 1752 Decoto Rd.

Chapter birthday also means elections! You must be current with 2012
dues to vote, so bring $5 if your dues are not yet in for this year.

In preparation for my coming Peace Corps departure, I will be stepping
down as president of our chapter, but I will remain an active member
until my departure early next year. I have been active in the
Federation since 2004, and the East Bay chapter has been the best and
most rewarding local chapter experience I have had since that time.
It has been a tremendous joy to be a part of this group since its
early beginnings when just six of us came together and to have watched
it grow and thrive. Thanks for sharing your email inboxes, first
Thursdays, and special events with me for the past two years, and I
look forward to many more.

Cheers, and see you tomorrow night,
