Sorry I wasn't there yesterday. It was because of financial and medical
reasons.
The medical is this:
As many of you found out while I was @ state convention, my leg pain is
back.
It is still infected. I am still on two very strong antibiotics beuase of
this. I am also receiving wound care from ST. Joseph Home Health whihc which
will be done Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
My doctors are waiting for the infection to go away to see if the pain goes
away. The leg pain feels like nerve pain again. I am currently on Mucynta
for the pain. It is a very strong pain med but it oly gives me two to three
hours reliefe at a time.
I am still going to get Orange County Chapter up and running next Saturday.
Sorry for the long email.

Yesterday, "Catch Our Dreams" in Southern California was held in Monrovia to
great acclaim. The event was organized and coordinated by Inland Empire
Chapter President Cheryl Thurston. First Vice-president, Ever Lee Hairston
served as auctioneer. There was food, music and dancing anda lot of fun was
had by all. A few northern California members attended to help support the
first "Catch Our Dreams" fundraising event in southern California. It is
because of all of the hard work and dedication that the National Federation
of the Blind of California is able to continue to promote education programs
for blind children. This event will make BELL 2014 possible.
Keep up the good work my fellow Federationists. "We Do This That the Blind
Can Read". (Kenneth Jernigan)
