You bringb up a good thing. Every time they do a nerve decompression, it is
a different nerve that is affected.
As far as infection goes, the antibiotics did finally got rid of the
infections I had. When or if I do have surgeryt, I will be given antibiotics
at that time. My x-wife calls me a "walking infection.

Can't they get rid of the infection with antibiotics? If nerve compressions
haven't helped very long in the past, isn't there something else they can
do? Could they remove the painful part of your leg? I hope the MRI reveals
something they can fix and make you better. It is such a bummer that you
have had to experience so much pain with that leg.

The doctor couldn’t do the EMG because of leg swelling. I’m waiting to have
an mri instead. Most likely, I will have another nerve decompression on my
lefgt leg.
