Hello all,
This sounds like an interesting opportunity. If there is anyone interested
around San Francisco that would like to help this person out please get back
to me, so I can set you up with her. She is trying to help blind people, in
regards to museum visits, and just needs blind people to talk to.
Thanks, Joe

Hi Angela,
I found your name on the NFB local chapters web page and I am writing to see
if the California Association of Blind Students might be able to help me
out. I am a (sighted) grad student at California College of the Arts in San
Francisco, working on my MFA in interaction design. For my thesis, a year
long effort that culminates with a written document and a made design or
service, I am exploring the user experience for blind museum visitors.
The overall goal is to re-imagine the way museums create content for blind
visitors and the way museums approach accessible design. Right now, I'm
looking at a novel means for delivering multi-topic, piece-specific content
that is delivered depending on where you are in the space. But in order to
do any of this, I need to connect with some people who are blind and who are
interested in meeting with me. Research will include a discussion once or
twice a month, prototype testing, and one or two museum visits.
Please let me know if you think this is something CABS members in the Bay
Area would be interested in. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Rachel
