I previously volunteered for this organization. Once the HR person gets past the characteristic of blindness and service dogs he’s a decent person. The agency is a bit disorganized. However, their heart is absolutely in the right place.

The Alliance for African Assistance has an opening for an IDA Program Assistant. 

 

This is a Part Time Position, 20 Hours Per Week.

 

Description Of Duties Performed

 

The IDA Program Assistant will:

 

-work with the IDA Program Coordinator in the completion of various programs such as: clients starting businesses, buying a car, obtaining education, and purchasing a home.

-assist a diverse population of clients and provide excellent customer service.

-provide holistic and comprehensive case management services to all clients including: intake assessment, benefit assessment, goal setting, financial literacy, weekly case plan development, progress monitoring, individual money management, advocacy and referrals. 

-maintain a caseload of families.

-meet with clients frequently during their savings progression period.

-hold in-person meetings with clients regarding their IDA goals (at least 80% of follow-up meetings should be held in-person rather than over the phone).

-connect families with needed and available community resources. 

-follow-up with clients and agencies as appropriate to document use/success of referral. 

-input accurate and complete data for all contacts with clients into agency program database.       -ensure that all documents submitted on behalf of a client are valid.

-conduct outreach to neighborhood refugee community.

-provide all required documentation in a timely manner, which may include client follow-up, outcome evaluation, client contact sheets, and evaluations.

-participate in regular staff meetings, staff training programs, and accept the responsibility for aiding the development of positive team relationships as requested.

-adhere to agency policy, procedures and the professional code of ethics. 

 

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.  

 

   

Qualifications

 

-Minimium Of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.           -Second Language a plus.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Clerical Duties.
