Mona,
Are you required to show a photo ID card that distinguishes you as a person
with a disability?
I and others have appealed to the S. D. City Council's Transportation
Committee to adopt a different colored MTS COMPASS Card that will delineate
persons qualifying for reduced fares and those that do not qualify.
I absolutely understand SANDAG's choice to eliminate fraudulent use of bus
passes. Here's the unspoken message coming from SANDAG and MTS. Low income
people are not to be trusted as much as non-low income bus riders. I know
that individuals with any type of COMPASS Card have rented out and or lent
out their bus pass.
Last question for you. Did you obtain your bus pass from North County
Transit Services or from S. D. MTS?
From, Lisa

Lisa, when I purchased my compass pass. I was asked whether or not I wanted
my picture or not. They allowed me to make that choice.
