From, Dennis Russak, Board Member, River City Chapter, (Sacramento) and President of our Seniors' Division

  Hello to everyone:

I absolutely agree with you, David. These manufacturers of specially designed products supposedly made exclusively for us, (such as HIMS. INTERNATIONAL, manufacturer of the Braille sense products, and Humanware, manufacturer of the Victor Stream Reader Products), ought to release at least the Hardware and Software to the General Public, so that at least some products could go way down in price so we could afford them. About four years ago, the State bought me a three-thousand-dollar computer like David was talking about. Six months later it was stolen by burglars. Even though there was a police report filed with REHAB, they wouldn't replace it. About two years later, I did get a Braille Sense U2 (which cost the State about twice as much). I appreciate this happening, though. How much easier it would have been if the original computer would have cost much less, and I might have been able to replace it.
      Dennis Russak
