[Nfbc-info] Nfbc-info Digest, Vol 116, Issue 8

Good morning everybody:

Just before I leave for our River City Chapter meeting here in Sacramento this morning, I just wanted to take time out to comment on this morning Digest.

After reading most of it, (I don't have time to finish it this morning), I must agree with the final thoughts expressed on this subject. What I think we need to work on, is (in as courteous and firm way as possible), is to get the media somehow to stop insulting us with their drivel about how amazing we are when we just look at someone or just perform our everyday tasks on terms of equality with everyone else, because we are just like everyone else. This is the real problem. Mr. McIntyre obviously has talent, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten on American Idol in the first place. It's good to have someone with his abilities as a supporter!

So yes, I think we need to support him, while doing what we possibly can
to change the media's perception of all of us.

      Dennis Russak
